Why events?
Essential to a museum exhibition are the events that connect the viewers today to happenings of the past. An exhibition is a statement of a time in history – a static view. Events associated with the exhibition are the dynamic connections – a kind of a reverse time-machine. They bring the exhibited part of the past, to life today. The effort of a modern museum is to convert the viewer from merely a viewer to an active participant – children, housewives, elderly parents, men & women from all walks of life, to connect to the past in a way that makes sense in the present. Exhibition events are those very lifelines, which invite participation from all quarters of the viewing public.
